Hold on tight, spider monkey. We’re revealing the origin on Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson’s love story.
As it turns out, the couple—who welcomed their first baby, a daughter in March—met six years ago at a game night in L.A.
“I was sure that I’d met him a long time ago,” Waterhouse told British Vogue for its August cover, which also featured the first pictures of their daughter. “But he didn’t think that we had.”
The game? Werewolf (it's like Peacock’s The Traitors). The guest list? Al Pacino, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and more.
Needless to say, “It was very, very intense,” the Daisy Jones and the Six star recalled. “Everyone was really acting.”
Except for Waterhouse and Pattinson, who were immediately drawn to one another. “I think we both sort of have the same slight uncomfortable-ness,” the 34-year-old said, noting they “starting giggling at the absurdity of the whole thing.”
Though they didn’t exchange numbers at the end of the night, they did run into each other nearly a year later. (Cue where the hell have you been, loca?)
And the rest, you know, is history.
“I thought Rob’s quite funny," the musician said. "I light up when I’m around him.”
And now, she gets to watch the Twilight alum light up around their baby girl.
In the beginning, Pattinson "was really nervous" about fatherhood, she said. "But for someone who’s quite an anxious person, he’s been very calm.”
In fact, the 38-year-old has proven to be “the dad I could have hoped for," Waterhouse raved. “I mean a dad and his daughter? It’s an actual love story.”

Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson first sparked relationship speculation in July 2018, when they were photographed on a PDA-filled date night in London.
In Dec. 2022, the private pair made their relationship red carpet official at Dior's fashion show in Egypt...
...where they couldn't help but show off their love.
The Daisy Jones actress and the Twilight alum turned the 2023 Met Gala into a date night on the first Monday in May.
The couple attended GO Campaign's 17th annual GO Gala at Citizen News in Hollywood on Oct. 21.
About two weeks after Suki confirmed her pregnancy, she and Rob went to the Poor Things premiere in New York. And they weren't the only stars there as Taylor Swift was also at the event.
In February 2023, Suki shared rare insight into her relationship with Rob. "I'm always incredibly excited when I see his name pop up [on my phone] or even a text, and I think he feels the same about me," she told The Sunday Times. "We've always got so much to say, and I find him hilarious."
"Rob definitely isn't getting advice from me about acting," Suki shared with The Sunday Times, "but of course I'll try and get him to help me with an audition before he falls asleep on the sofa."
The singer introduced the couple's baby on Instagram April 4, writing, "welcome to the world angel."
